The Venice based brand produces simple, unconstructed pieces of tailoring that take inspiration from the brands long history which dates back to 1961. Founders Massimo Pigozzo, Giovanni Zara and Francesca Zara took the name Barena from ‘baro’ which when translated is ‘salt-water lagoon’ - meaning the body of water that Venice stands on.
